The catastrophic earthquake occured in Japan on March 11.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to all of you for your heartwarming offers of support from many countries around the world regarding the huge earthquake that occurred in the Pacific Ocean off the Tohoku region in March 11, 2011.
The severe damage caused by this quake mainly occurred in northeastern Japan, but Toyama is far away from the accident location and is not at all affected by the earthquake or nuclear leaks.
The public transportations is on schedule and no blackout is planned. The convention facilities and hotels in Toyama continue to be capable of hosting meetings, exhibitions, and other events without any difficulties.
